Dock 5 Salford

Weststone Construction successfully delivered a comprehensive package of external works at Dock 5, Salford, Manchester transforming the surrounding site into a high-quality, durable, and visually striking public realm. The works involved significant ground preparation including bulk excavation, levelling, and formation of sub-bases, followed by the installation of high-specification paving, kerbs, drainage systems. Tree pits and landscaping zones were integrated to enhance the aesthetic and environmental quality of the development.

In parallel, Weststone’s experienced civil engineering team completed critical S278 highway works along Fairbrother Street, coordinating seamlessly with local authorities to ensure smooth integration with existing infrastructure. This included new kerb lines, resurfacing works, footpath upgrades, and installation of street furniture such as bollards, signage, and cycle hoops. Attention to detail and precision construction ensured the works were completed to the highest standards with minimal disruption to the surrounding area.

This project showcases Weststone Construction’s ability to deliver complex external works on time and to exceptional quality, combining robust engineering with thoughtful urban design — setting a strong foundation for the continued regeneration of the area.
